dakota. >> when i saw him in the er, i would have never ever expected this. i just wanted him home. to look at him and see he will be able to play sports again and all that, it is just incredible. >> his dad says a lot of people have been looking out for his son. the police officers who stopped the attack have been visiting dakota as he recovered. his teachers have been visiting his house to make up the work he missed. and >> police are trying to find the person responsible of the stabbing death of a college student. the student was driving to the somerset campus with friends around 9:30 last night when they encountered another group. witnesses told the police the

student was stabbed during some type of altercation. the investigators do not believe it was random. >> investigators are not sure why this occurred. they are attempting to figure out if they knew the victim. they figured out this is not a random act, not something without a history behind it. they believe something occurred there between the individuals and the victim that was either an altercation at the time and had been connected with something previous. this was not just random on their campus. >> the victim died at hospitals around 9:30 last night. officials are looking for three male suspects. details on monday's courthouse shooting in delaware. multiple guns and rounds of ammunition were found inside the car. maryland officials had a search warrant on his property.

he reportedly killed his former daughter-in-law before turning the gun on himself. covering the nation, the sister of the young girl who attended president obama's speech on gun control becomes a victim of gun violence herself. the 14-year-old destiny attended the president's speech and look forward to talking to her older sister about her experience. she never got the chance. it appears the 18-year-old was in the long -- wrong place at the wrong time when she was shot in the head. >> she decided she would go to the store at about 11:00. she did not want to walk by herself. she had her guy friend walked with her so she would not walk by herself. it so happened one of the friends -- the bullet was meant for him. she was the one to get the bullet. >> authorities say two people are being questioned in connection with the death.

no charges have been filed. from gun violence to another major issue, immigration reform. in washington, president obama's chief of staff confirmed the white house has been working on its own plan. republicans are pushing back hard. >> immigration reform is one of the very few issues that unites republicans and democrats. eight senators are finishing up a bipartisan bill. the white house has been working on a backup plan if current efforts fall apart. >> we will have an option we will have ready to put out there. >> the white house proposal would bolster border security and include a path to citizenship for this nation's 11 million undocumented immigrants. republicans say any plan with the president paz's name on it are bound to fail. >> of course it will. we are working together,

republicans and democrats. he has had no communication with republicans on the issue, unlike the previous four presidents i have worked with. >> for republican marco rubio says the present's plan will not work. other members of the gop are not happy to see the white house weighing in. >> when they say, my way or the highway, that is no way to get it done. >> the warehouse is ready to press ahead with immigration reform. if congress can or will not act. >> eyes in washington are on the clock. the countdown is on. congress has 11 days left to avert sequestration, a series of automatic government spending cuts and would affect government security. the $85 billion in cuts could lead to furloughs for as many

as we look at the upper atmosphere, each of the little kids we will see, each one provides energy for the storms to spin up. the next is out in the rocky mountains providing energy, and yet another dip pushing another storm in. they are just lined up waiting to come in at us, a very active pattern. we will see what happens. it looks like the pattern will stay with us. there will continue to be a bit of a breeze. not as strong have a wind. but still a breeze. it will feel more like 10:00 at times. depending on a small -- a strong breeze. the winds to back off a little bit overnight tonight. not bad, but very winter-like. it will feel warmer because we will see a little more sunshine and a little less wind. the temperature will go up a
